About 20 kilometers from Luxembourg-City, Hollenfels, which belongs to the municipality of Tuntange, is located in the west of the country, on a hill that dominates the Eisch Valley at a height of 60 meters. The castle is built on a hollow rock and consists of an impressive keep, an angular tower, a curtain wall and a living quarters. The fortress has been owned by the Luxembourg government since 1948, and a youth hostel has been set up there.
