It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to drive from Agadir to the waterfalls. From Immouzer, the road to Marrakech is 47 km long, as is the road to Essaouira. The asif Tamkrat or Paradise Valley, the name given to the valley by a wealthy American, starts from the village of Tamkrat, 10 km from Agadir. Once you've entered the valley, you'll see the picturesque village of Aourir with its mosque and marabout on the left side of the mountain, and lush green crops of barley and wheat as well as almond and olive groves on the opposite side. The uncultivated areas are dotted with argan trees. The route then takes on the appearance of a real mountain road: hairpin bends abound, the valley narrows and the landscape becomes more arid as you gain altitude. You end up in a much more welcoming valley than the previous one. The view is fantastic. At the far end of the valley, the sun is reflected in the wadis, and huge walls of white and pink rock stand out against the edge of a superb palm grove. You enter the palm grove by crossing a small ford, which can be dangerous in wet weather. Along the way, you'll also find starting points for two hiking trails through the valley, signposted. Allow around 3 hours round trip for both walks. The road is paved all the way down to the waterfalls. You can take a dip in the natural pools formed by the superb waterfalls.
