With a population of 800 and dating from the 12th century, it is located on a cliff, next to a river, and seems practically impregnable. The streets of the fortress are quite narrow. Again, the buildings are either semi-circular or rectangular. The fortress has a strong military aspect because of its strategic location and the view over the valley, which it seems to control entirely. Further on, in the same valley, in the direction of Chiu-Chiu, many cliffs are engraved with pictograms, made between the 400s and the Spanish conquest. They represent different human figures, birds and llamas.
