Pepeekeo is a small green town of 2,000 inhabitants where you won't find much to do besides visiting the botanical garden. Take advantage of your visit to take the scenic road that follows the seaside for a few kilometers, a pleasant alternative to the main highway, which plunges you into the middle of the rainforest and waterfalls that abound on this side of the island. Observe along the road the now wild sugar canes that remind us of the village's past as a sugar plantation area. The activity is completely stopped but the mill which was used to crush the canes can still be visited
