The second largest community in Tangipahoa Parish, Ponchatoula is first and foremost known for its famous Strawberry Festival which takes place annually in April. A nice little town, we come here for its antique stores lining Pine Street, but also for its alligator farm, the Kliebert & Sons Gator Tours, where we can admire these big beasts from very close. Don't leave town without a trip to the Ponchatoula Country Market, which features the work of local artisans and artists. Bonus: farm stands set up in front of the store on weekends.
