Travel Guide Lac Zilé

This lake is 7 km long and 2 km wide and is only 30 minutes by pirogue from Lambaréné. On the lake, there are several islets, including the island of the Fetish and the Etougué island on which the ecotourism project of the village of Elomba has taken shape. As on the other lakes, one discovers superb landscapes which reveal a nature remained almost intact. All along the walk, you will be able to see many species of birds as well as some hippopotamuses. We advise you to leave in the early morning to enjoy the tranquility of the place. You can also take a picnic lunch on one of the islands, while respecting this lush environment.
