Before Fougamou, a track on the left indicates the village of Sindara, which is worth a stop for its mission and its population from the Mitsogo and Eshira ethnic groups. A beautiful mission to visit and, further on, small waterfalls make this slight detour an interesting objective. The mission was built in 1889 by the congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. It is very well preserved, built in brick, and has beautiful arcades. From Sindara, it is possible to penetrate further into the country by taking the ferry 5 km after the village. It is still necessary to inquire about the state of the track which is not always practicable!
