As the restaurant name indicates, a great specialty of the house is the stroganoff beef, the true, and perhaps the best in town. The map does not stop only with meat and offers the finest Russian dishes (black and red caviar, Kamtchatka crab, etc.) as well as zakouskis gourmands. And since you don't eat good meat without a good glass of wine, the map will offer you wines from all over the world, but let you be guided by your waiter among the delicious Georgian and Russian wines of the cellar. 

The restaurant is located in the beautiful Museum of Modern Art "Erarta", a must in St. Petersburg. Here you will not find hearty main courses, but at reasonable prices, gastronomic seasonal cuisine of a very high standard. This ice cream parlour's exclusive creations are full of unexpected flavours: fresh cinnamon cream, green olives or cep cream. It's so unusual that we'll either love it or hate it, but we'll remember it for sure! Each ball is served separately to avoid confusion of tastes. The service, a little "old-fashioned" Soviet-style, is not very warm but it is part of the decorum of this institution (and saves on tips!). Another specialty of the house: Italian desserts.

Garage café built in the middle of nothing in the summer of 2015, in an abandoned yard, and quickly became a beautiful and trendy place. The American industrial style is very successful with a large pool table in the middle of the room, beautiful vintage motorcycles. The large windows and the huge courtyard promise pleasant moments in summer. The menu is without fuss with pizzas, salads, some Asian dishes, good breakfasts, draught beers, wine and strong alcohol. On weekends, it is often packed with a rather young and local crowd.

From the street, it is impossible to imagine that inside is a two-storey restaurant-bar dedicated to Portuguese gastronomy. Tawny Bar is a tribute to the Portuguese culture. The walls are decorated withazulejos, a statue of the Virgin Mary watches over the place in a bottle-shaped niche. The lower courtyard of the building serves as one of the most romantic terraces in the city, bathed in greenery and climbing plants. Reservations are recommended for the terrace.

The name of this Georgian restaurant comes from the eponymous Caucasian tarragon, a spice inseparable from Georgian cuisine. It is also the name of a tarragon elixir-based soda created in 1887 by the pharmacist Laguidze, so popular in the countries of the former USSR. For those who are interested in Georgian gastronomy, the menu is illustrated with (beautiful) photos of the dishes on offer, very useful for making your choice. Meat lovers will be delighted with the famous shashlikis, those skewers whose meat is marinated, seasoned and cooked slowly over a wood fire.

Two very large halls in this brewery that was the rallying point of the Soviet intelligentsia and counted in its walls some Nobel Prizes and quite a few dissidents who had to flee during the Brejnean years. From that time there is only the beautiful Art Nouveau décor. The new middle class invaded this place, which is not lacking in charm. The spacious dining room with its evening concerts is complemented by a more cozy bar. The menu (highly furnished) offers Russian and European dishes at affordable prices. Next to the restaurant, Metropol offers a "gastropub" which serves excellent home-brewed beers as well as a beautiful bakery shop, all located in the same building.

In the brewery of the hotel Kempisky, we are right next to the holy saints. Through the windows of the restaurant offering a 360 ° view, all the wonders of the center of Petersburg are discovered. The green tones and gold roofs of the Ermitage are so close that we could touch them. Clients are tourists and Russians who discuss business or love. The view is the main asset but the food is also good and proposes what is most fine in Russian gastronomy, including the Kamtchatka crab, Caspian caviar or sturgeon tartare.
