The former Wolf and Beranger confectionery became famous on the evening of January 27, 1837, when Pushkin came here to drink a chocolate just before leaving for a fatal duel. The writer was a regular here. Everything tends to remind you of him, from his wax statue, which you can see behind the window, to the winged figures supporting the lamps in the main hall, symbols of his literary society.
