5 km north of Shorzha, if you leave the coastal road leading to Sevan, you will go down into the slopes of the Aregouni mountain range, going up to the high pasture area to reach Chambarak. Formerly called Krasnosselsk, this small mountain town dominates the lake, but exudes a decidedly mountainous atmosphere. Some 13th century khatchkars can be seen here.
