The village of Noradouz, reached by turning left on the road that runs along the lake from the north, leaving the town of Gavar on the right, is known throughout Armenia for its cemetery, which houses an impressive concentration of khatchkars from different periods, some of which are marvels of sculpture. These steles are scattered in the greasy grass in a moving disorder, perfectly integrated into the natural decor, with their tuff declining all the nuances of the red, extend on a site which allows a panoramic vision of the lake, on its broadest basin, which lets hardly see the opposite bank.
