Glarus is the smallest cantonal capital in Switzerland. It is a small, quiet town, usually just a stopover for travellers. The country is not very busy, but it is very pleasant, if only for its tranquillity, away from any tourist circuit. The town is dominated by the two bronze spires of its church, renovated and bricked, perfectly at the same time. In addition to the Sankt Fridolin church, you can also see the remains of a citadel and its chapel. The liveliness of the town is concentrated in the main street and in the vicinity of the railway station. On the Landgemeindeplatz is the local museum to be discovered.
