The town of Linsan, located on the N1 between Kindia and Mamou, marks the border between maritime Guinea and middle Guinea. It is a well-known commune for local travelers because it is an almost obligatory stop for all cabs in search of a dish of rice sauce. From the entrance of the city to its exit, gargotes and other restaurants follow one another in a string all along the road. You will be spoilt for choice. For travelers wishing to continue their journey as quickly as possible, a bypass has been available since May 2022 to avoid the often congested city center. This saves time for long-distance travelers.
