Travel Guide Télimélé

Located on the western heights of Fouta, Télimélé is the capital of the prefecture of the same name. Geographically and historically, the city is linked to Fouta Djalon, but administratively it is attached to the lower Guinea. From Kindia, a beautiful track will lead you to the foot of Mount Loubha, which you will have to cross by a few hairpin bends: it is a delicate passage for many vehicles often forced to take a short break to cool their tired engine. More generally, the tracks that radiate from the city are beautiful, with a special mention for the one towards Pita. Given its geographical position, Télimélé should be a communication node between lower and middle Guinea, but the absence of paved roads limits its importance to date
