This popular spa is located in the Jelenia Góra basin, 6 km from the city, at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains, at an altitude of about 350 m. The cures offered are suitable for people suffering from rheumatism, urinary tract and eye problems. It has been famous for its healing properties since the 12th century. According to legend, the local springs were discovered in 1175 by Prince Bolesław the High while chasing a deer during a hunt. The wounded animal jumped into the hot springs, healed, in front of the amazed eyes of the prince who then decided to build a hunting lodge there.
