The former small mountain village is no more; it has become the "capital" of Krkonoše, with its hotel complexes. Today, you will find a town that has become the first Czech ski resort. It consists almost entirely of hotels (more than 12,000 beds!), restaurants and shops. A city animated by thousands of tourists, summer and winter. So there is nothing picturesque about it. But there is plenty of accommodation and many hiking trails start from here. The town is very easy to reach by bus from Vrchlabí, but also from Prague or Hradec Kralové at the beginning of the tourist season.
