A very nice pub in the heart of the city with a wide choice of beers, not to be underestimated by beer lovers! Moreover, the pub brews three kinds of beers on the spot, recognizable by their cans with a crazy design. And as where there is drink, there is food, you will find a choice of hamburger, fish and chips, or finely served local specialities. All this in a relaxed and sporty atmosphere. If the pub has everything of an English pub, the prices are really Norwegian!

A good beer in the Schouskjelleren has to be earned! If the place is not easy to find, it is worth looking for! Located in the cellar of the old Schous brewery, this tavern with its splendid stone, wood and copper decor is one of the most popular in Oslo. In this room where time seems to have stood still, a huge fireplace warms up the guests and the atmosphere. More than 60 beers are served here, brewed on the premises.

A nice bar-brewery that produces its own beer and offers pork kebabs! Perfect for a quick bite to eat or a group get-together as there is a room upstairs! Original, with its beautiful red brick and copper interior. Several kinds of exclusive beers of course, like the Scream Ale, a pale ale with caramelized notes and only 4,7° of alcohol. Be careful to go home in time because this place can quickly become a place of perdition for the amateurs of good beer!

A very pretty pub, both lounge and rustic, in the beautiful Majorstua district. It's a great place to meet up with friends over a beer, or to dine on Norwegian cuisine - which is to say, rather American! Traditional starters like mozzarella salad or moules-frites. Standard main courses too: steak frites, fish & chips, burgers... The chocolate fondant is not bad at all, with its fresh berries and raspberry coulis. A visit to the toilets is a must - surprise, we won't tell you more!

Here's a highly adorable and... Instagrammable little cafe! Opening in the fall of 2021, this tiny independent café is a converted former gas station... The opening of the cafe was made possible by a crowdfunding. The gas station dates from 1935, which makes it a photogenic place. We stop there to have a coffee break with a pastry or to buy coffee. Since its opening, this small coffee station is very appreciated by the inhabitants of the district because of the welcome and the elegance of the place.

With Laundromat, doing your laundry becomes a pleasure! This café-bar-restaurant is also a laundromat. Ideal for those just passing through the capital. Make yourself comfortable at the bar side and enjoy a good drink in a warm and subdued atmosphere. In addition to a wide selection of beers, it is possible to eat on the premises from 10am to 10pm. Inside, the walls are full of colour, the armchairs are old-fashioned and there is even a theatre-style balcony! Special mention for the staff with their contagious good mood.

A multi-purpose live performance venue: world music, rock, pop, dance, classical music... there's something for everyone and at all times. An eclectic program that feels good! The price of the tickets varies according to the shows, but is generally around 250-300 NOK. We tested for you and we really liked the Finnish duo Vildà of polyphonic singing with accordion and drums! The acoustics are great and the team very friendly. Several stages, including an intimate one where you sit around tables with a drink, really nice!

Rouleurs of Oslo is not just a café! Run by cycling enthusiasts, the back room also serves as a workshop, and for those who are just passing through, it is possible to rent your pretty bikes. Between bikes hanging on the walls and projections of beautiful landscapes, all in a hype and Scandinavian style, you can settle down for a drink or a light meal. Great beers, good choices of coffee, a bright and more intimate atmosphere in the evening, when cappuccinos give way to stemware. An approved concept!

Radio Løkka is the place for you if you like lively, bustling places with lots of atmosphere. Great music, if a little loud, but it's up to you! Nice decor, with photos on the wall that make you feel good, from Frida Kahlo to Iggy Pop, Marilyn and David Bowie! A good selection of beers and milkshakes, and a subdued atmosphere with candles and orange lampposts here and there. You can also eat chanterelle salads, hot or cold sandwiches, burger fries, or order a whole bowl of popcorn!

On the main thoroughfare of the Grønland district is the unsuspected Dattera til Hagen. This café-restaurant, which transforms into a club at night, has one of the most colorful backyards in Oslo! Far from the hustle and bustle of the avenue, this garlanded terrace is the ideal place to enjoy a drink. Inside, a few degrees warmer, and just as much fun! Two colorful floors, an outdoor courtyard that's as pleasant in summer as it is in winter (thanks to the heaters). At Dattera, there's often live music, improv theater and a great atmosphere.

Whether it's a latte outside on a sunny day (yes, there is!) or an evening drink or even a dance, Jekyll's is the perfect spot conveniently located near the National Gallery and the Slottsparken. With a wide range of draught and bottled beers and the best selection of whiskies in the city, the place is attractive. The bar's atmosphere is eye-catching with its solid wood decor, basement dance and pool room and courtyard terrace for smokers. Light meals are also available

Located on the city's quays, SALT is a motley crew where anything is possible. This nomadic cultural project, built on the model of the traditional Norwegian fish dryers, has become a must in Oslo's musical and artistic life. In its various buildings, the complex hosts exhibitions, film screenings, quizzes, a café and a whole host of varied and wild activities. You can even relax to the max and enjoy DJ sessions and concerts from inside the splendid Árdna Sauna.

Another well-kept secret! In one of the alleys of the city centre is hidden Den Gamle Skobutikken (the old shoe shop). Top design interior and relaxed atmosphere, not to mention this beautiful terrace decorated with garlands in the backyard! It's almost like being in a trendy club in the German capital! On weekends, concerts or DJ sets, in short, be on time there won't be room for everyone. An address to recommend to lovers of cocktails, music and places like no other. Validated!

This two-storey brewery also offers a very wide selection of beers, and two rooms with a relaxed and subdued atmosphere, ideal for sitting down and chatting with friends or in a group. The interior mixes industrial decor, red bricks on the wall and warm colours, a pleasure for the eyes that are still looking for details. Table tennis tables are available for NOK 3 per minute, and for those who want to do something original, book and brew your own beer at the Brygglab! No doubt, this is a recommended address in the city centre.

Every day, we invite you to listen to a concert, a DJ, or to linger at the bar. In a small room in the basement, between brick walls, the atmosphere is good and you feel at ease. This bar specializing in aquavit and aquavit-based cocktails opened in May 2021 amidst the water and sailboats! They also offer small light things to satiate the taste buds. A very bright space because it's almost all glass. It's like being outside. In summer, the terrace on the waterfront allows you to sunbathe, admire the fjord and enjoy a great homemade cocktail according to the season! Nice music, smiling and welcoming team. A place that will undoubtedly rise in the years to come!

Lorry is not only a good traditional Norwegian restaurant, it is also a place of character, a true cultural institution. Lorry is one of the oldest restaurants in Oslo, a meeting place for artists, musicians, actors, celebrities, university professors and students. A restaurant that is worth a visit as much for its historic bric-a-brac atmosphere as for the quality of the food served as for testing the 129 types of beer available. The prices are reasonable for a Norwegian restaurant and the portions are generous.
