A ski festival not to be missed under any circumstances if you are passing through at that time. The festival has been held every year since 1892. While it is highly appreciated by Nordic skiers and ski jumping enthusiasts, it actually brings together a large part of Oslo's population, who leave the city centre to go to Holmenkollen and spend one of the most watered weekends of the year! It is also an opportunity to see champions from all over the world take part in the competitions.

Oslo Pride lasts 4 days, with art exhibitions, debates, concerts and, of course, a parade through downtown Oslo! Oslo Pride celebrates diversity, love, sex and, above all, the right to choose who you love! No one is free until everyone is free! The parade runs from the Greenland district to Spikersuppa, and the streets of Oslo are filled with joy and rainbows. The parade usually starts at around 1 p.m. and finishes about three hours later, depending on the number of participants.

Since 1901, the Nobel Prizes have been awarded on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death. As stipulated in Nobel's will, the Nobel Prizes for Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine and Literature are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden, while the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway.

The Oslo Jazz Festival is a non-profit organization that aims to provide a quality festival with no less than 60-70 concerts in 15-18 venues in central Oslo each year. Founded in 1986, it covers a wide range of jazz styles. The Oslo Jazz Festival has featured Herbie Hancock, Jan Garbarek, Charles Lloyd, Arild Andersen, Nils Petter Molvaer, Maria Schneider, Paul Bley, Karin Krog...

Every year, the Nobel Peace Festival is held at the end of summer in Oslo. For an entire evening, the city hosts debates, concerts and other events around the Nobel Peace Prize and its laureates, celebrating human rights, democracy and peace. The evening is marked by a conference held in the heart of the town, on the Place de la Mairie, making intense moments of reflection and conviviality accessible to all. On site, you'll find plenty of food, drink and seating.
