SNØ

Mountain and winter sports

SNØ is located just 15 minutes from Oslo and covers 36,000 m² of snow-covered area, divided between three slopes of varying difficulty levels, a snowpark with rail, jump and big jump, and a 1.5 km cross-country ski run. While it lacks the scenery and ambience of a classic ski resort, it's a welcome alternative for those who don't always have the time to go and get the snow where it's found. All equipment can be rented on site: snowboards, cross-country or alpine skis and even winter clothing.

Visiting a city that overlooks a fjord is also visiting the fjord, and that's exactly what this activity offers: getting down to sea level to see what's around us from another perspective. PATINOIRE DE FROGNER

Sports and leisure activities

Skating is a very common activity in Norway, and many people are introduced to it from an early age. Across the country, winter offers the opportunity to transform numerous stadiums, fountains and other public facilities into skating rinks. In Frogner, skate hire is free, so it's a great opportunity to give skating a try! Skating is also widely practiced on frozen lakes/fjords, but the ice is often less smooth and more difficult to skate on, so it's best to train on the rink first!
