Voh is no longer present (Vook, in Kanak) and his famous heart, immortalized by photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand in his book La Terre seen from heaven. The sea and mountains take a magnificent look, giving the region its typical face of the Far North. Coffee and fishing have also been assets, but it is not about these activities or the beauty of nature that the local economy is founded. Widely employed in the exploitation of nickel, its 3,160 inhabitants participate in the development of the VKP zone, with their Koné and Pouembout neighbors.
