First real bush village going up north from the Great Noumea, Boulouparis (Berepwari in Kanak language) is a small commune of 3,005 inhabitants, the village gathers a third of the population. A quiet and agricultural region, where squash and sorghum are grown alongside cattle farms and new practices such as oyster farming and aquaculture. Port-Ouenghi and Bouraké are the two charming coastal areas, which command beautiful views of the bay of Saint-Vincent and its islands. Without having the tourist offer of the regions of La Foa and Bourail, we still find here a very New Caledonian way of life and several friendly activities.
