The road between Maputo and Namaacha is very pretty: small mountains and vast hills, plains and plateaus, savannah and shrub forest, dominantly yellow or green depending on the season. This small road is well worth a day trip. At the end, apart from the eSwatini on the other side of the border, you can take advantage of the Namaacha waterfalls to make a stop. In winter, they can be rather disappointing; during the rainy season, it can be worth an excursion. It is better to have your own vehicle to get there, as it is at least a one-hour walk. Early morning chapas from Baixa to Maputo serve Namaacha.
