Travel Guide Mbabane

With a population of about 100,000, the capital is the second largest city in the country after Manzini. It is surrounded by the steep hills of the Dlangeni Hills and lies at an altitude of about 1,234 meters. Its temperate climate is pleasant during the hot season. While Mbabane does not have many tourist attractions, it is very authentic, with colorful market stalls, crowded minibuses and a cheerful bustle. The town is centered on a junction at Soshiya Road, with the bus station on one side and Pick'n Pay, a large shopping center, on the other. From Mbabane, you are only a short distance from the country's points of interest, at most it will take you 2 hours to get north to the Matsamo/Jeep Reef border, and about 40 minutes to Manzini. The most pleasant hotels in the big city of Mbabane are located just outside Manzini, and in its extension you pass through the Ezulwini Valley, which is very touristic because of the outdoor activities linked to the hills, the forest and the river.
