In Wittisheim, the unmissable event is the festival of the quetsche pie. This festival, established in 1983, honors the emblematic fruit of Alsace and the most famous Alsatian fruit pie. More than 800 pies are made during the night from Saturday to Sunday (the2nd Sunday of September), to the delight of the many visitors. Don't miss the 12th century Saint-Blaise church. In the middle of the 18th century, the building was enlarged. A new nave was built. Moreover, the bell tower was raised and the old chapel was transformed into a choir before being rebuilt between 1832 and 1835.
