At the southeastern tip of the region, Bad Radkersburg is a family resort with a modern spa center. The tourist infrastructure is well-developed, with sports facilities and accommodation. Neolithic, Celtic and Roman remains have been unearthed on the site, and can be seen in the town's museum. The town grew up around the fortress built by Ottokar II of Bohemia, now known as Oberradkersburg Castle. The Hauptplatz is lined with beautiful Gothic and Renaissance houses, with their arcaded courtyards. At the corner of the square, the Town Hall rises up its beautiful Gothic tower with its Baroque bell tower. The square also boasts a plague column.
