Population approx. 11,800. The small town is the gateway to the Ljutomer-Ormoške gorice wine region, which produces exclusively white wines. Located in Styria, it has strong links with its neighbors beyond the Mura, which is why its place in the guide defies historical logic. Yet the town has a storied past. It was in the immediate vicinity that, in August 1868, thousands of people gathered and the idea of a united Slovenia was born. The first Tabor was born. Finally, after so many innovations, it created the first supermarket in Tito's Yugoslavia in 1958!
