MUSÉE ÁSGRÍMUR JÓNSSON (HOME OF AN ARTIST)
Read moreThis is the home of artist Ásgrímur Jónsson, the first Icelandic artist to make a career for himself in the art world. Fascinated by Icelandic nature, his many works reflect the beauty of the Icelandic landscape as well as some of its myths. Opened in 1960, two years after his death, this house initially housed a collection of his works before being linked to the National Gallery of Iceland in 1987. A wonderful discovery!
