Old port lined with small cafes and restaurants, where agency stands offer sea trips

The old harbour is lined with small cafes and restaurants directly facing the sea, and of course this is where you will find all the stands of agencies offering sea trips. On the ship side, there are mainly boats for tourist trips, but also sometimes the few remaining whalers in Iceland, recognizable by their large chimneys marked with an "H" for hvalur (whale). This authorized but very controversial practice is however decreasing and surely doomed to disappear.
