Olafur Eliasson is the Danish-Icelandic architect responsible for this wonder. He was inspired by the natural materials and the omnipresence of light in Reykjavík. Located in the old harbour, the building is a sparkling sculpture on which the sky and the sea are reflected. At night, its facade is illuminated with coloured lights.

The Harpa is now home to the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera in four halls. There are also meeting rooms, an exhibition area, a restaurant and a souvenir shop.

The Big Lebowski is not just a film, it has now become a lifestyle! After passing the door, guarded by men in military uniforms, you will enter a completely different world organized in several areas. There are no bowling trails but you will find a dance track, an American bar where to ask for the speciality of the house (White Russian for only 1 200 kr) and a zone to recover!

B5

Discotheque

This address, which is a bar and restaurant during the day, is transformed in the evening, especially on Friday and Saturday, into a club where all Reykjavík meets. The decoration and the style are chic: appreciate the Philippe Stark lamps, the leather sofa, the retro interior in spite of a little small room when the bar is crowded. The music is pop and very FM, but the atmosphere is good and often overexcited. Beware, the minimum age to enter is 20 years old and a rather hipster/trendy dress code must be respected in general to be able to enter.
