On a good hour of San Juan de las Galdonas, you will find yourself above all for the tranquillity of this small village of some houses, trapped between the beach, the mountain and a river. The beach is not fantastic, but in the surroundings you will be filled. On the way, ask the boat driver to stop at the charming Playa Negra, a small beach surrounded by palm trees: heaven! Santa Isabel is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Paria Peninsula Park. We go back to the river, dotted with "pozos" (natural pools) and waterfalls, a thousand miles from civilization. The Adeptes (access is not always evident) will reach Cerro El Humo, which reaches 1 370 m, and even crosses the peninsula in its width to reach the south coast and follow other adventures (visit of Turuepano park and buffles of buffalo). The walk lasts one day and the sea view and the islands Los Testigos is dazzling. It is also a paradise for ornithologists: a large number of endémiques and endemic species.
