A typical Tuscan town, rich in history and tradition, San Miniato has an unspoiled medieval charm and an exceptional way of life. Its current appearance dates back to the restructuring carried out in the 18th century. Two panoramic points of interest are the Prato del Duomo and the ancient Rock of Federico II, from which the view extends to the sea. San Miniato is the birthplace of the family of a certain Bonaparte. Every November, during the Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco, the streets are filled with the scent of white truffles, whose production here is estimated at about 100 quintals, a fifth of the national production!
