Between Palazzo Grassi and St. Mark's Square, a nice little place between a bistro and a wine bar, which clearly stands out among the mediocre restaurants in the area. We appreciate the counter covered with ciccheti and we can't resist the fried food and the nervetti alle cipolle (small veal nerves with onions). This osteria on Campo Santa Margherita has the warm atmosphere of an old-fashioned tavern. In a large room that looks like a canteen, you eat on large common wooden tables lit by the subdued light of Murano chandeliers. A nice mix of styles. But what makes this address unusual are its taglieri, large wooden boards in XL format covered with cold cuts and cheese. Moreover, the whole team is dynamic and welcoming, even speaking French and always trying to please the guests.

A bacaro that is both an osteria, with its wooden tables close together and set up for about twenty diners, and a great restaurant thanks to its culinary offer. Fish, shellfish and crustaceans are the priority. They are the basis of good dishes such as tuna carpaccio, octopus gazpacho, or grilled fish. In a chic and informal setting, we admire the chef Salvatore Sodano and his team, visible in the open kitchen, who use the best seasonal ingredients to create dishes where creativity reigns supreme. Franco Barbato's little shop is full of best pizza diplomas. This time, unlike all competitors, the pizza share is not triangular but square, with genovese paste (very thick, soft and crispy, underneath) and beautifully gardened with imagination and originality. Fresh fish and vegetables await you. The risotto is also very good and a homemade liqueur will be offered after the meal finished. This restaurant has been run since 1971 by a very nice man from Puglia (which is why he is called il nonno pugliese). Despite the owner's origins, the atmosphere is very Venetian. In summer, the restaurant and bar are frequented by students and their teachers who enjoy the small terrace. The restaurant continues to offer traditional Venetian dishes in an authenticosteria atmosphere: bigoli in sauce, veal liver Venetian style, sardines " in saor ", cuttlefish with polenta, etc.

To dine in this small, quiet trattoria on the island of Giudecca, you need to get off du at the Palanca stop. Make 20 m on your left and you are there. It serves typical dishes and Venetian specialities. The piatti piatti (pasta, gnocchis, risotti, fagottini, e quanti!) with fish are fabulous. Meat is also very well prepared. The atmosphere here is definitely local: hot and noisy. However, for romantic meals, we can guarantee you a quiet corner. In the summer, in the garden, you can sit almost like at home, enjoying your meal in the sun. A very nice address in short, where chess players like to meet on Tuesday afternoon between the two services.

A few steps away from the Rialto, this trattoria trattoria, with its terrace of 7 or 8 tables deliciously shaded by a green roof, is a boon. There is a large room inside. The map offers a good choice of meat and fish or, more simply, the usual range of pizzas, one of which is seafood.
