Located 10 km east of Kočani, the small town of Vinica became famous in Macedonia after discovering the th century cuite terracotta icons. J. ﷓ C. They were updated during a excavations campaign, from 1986 to 1989, in the former citadel perched on the hill overlooking the city. These icons are now displayed at the National Museum of Macedonia in Skopje. Apart from a possible escalation to the citadel (kale), Vinica has only a Low Tourist Interest. To discover a beautiful view on the plain, it is always possible to go to the village of Jakimovo, 4 km north, and to go to the church by taking left inside the village at the level of the kiosk. The religious building, which is very modern, has little interest in itself, but on the terrace offers a landscape of carefully cultivated small hills, rice fields and fields of wheat bordered by hedges of poplar. This is not Tuscany, but it could make it think.
