RIESEN

Club

A small place with low ceilings but where the vintage atmosphere is very rock'n'roll, indie, post punk and... offbeat. Attended by the youth of Copenhagen - usually over 25 but less than 30! - who don't want to go home to bed after the cafes close at 2am, nor end up in nightclubs piling up like pickled herrings! Ideal to meet locals and get to know each other in an electric and very friendly atmosphere. Concerts and various animations organized around tastings of whisky and other drinks at high degree!

ALLÉENBERG

Bar and caf

The interior has remained unchanged since 1924, when Mrs. Ingeborg Johannesen moved in. Although the decor is a little dated, Alléenberg, located near the Frederiksberg gardens, remains a popular pub. Indeed, this address, well known to Copenhageners, has for decades been a favorite spot for students to hold parties, locals to have a beer with friends, and musicians and actors to meet up after the show. It's not unusual to find people singing around the old piano in the early hours of the morning.

CECILE AM

Club

The two levels of the Hotel Cécile (a renowned concert venue, not accommodation!) are transformed into a dancefloor under the turntables of Copenhagen's most famous DJs. Music is the leitmotif of the place. In the basement, the intimate bar with its beautiful contemporary decor is the perfect place to chat or meet new people, comfortably seated at the counter or on the benches, while the first floor hosts concerts (program online). Special evenings are also organized in collaboration with festivals such as Heartbeats and Golden Days.

JOLENE BAR

Discotheque

Jolene tells you: for 10 years, they've been a bar. Not a cocktail place. Here, you drink your beer by the bottle. Period. The battered furniture and faded lamps contribute to the cool, industrial-chic atmosphere that DJs rock until the end of the night. On occasion, live rock bands take over, but regardless of the music, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Not a place to see and be seen but the place to be yourself, an inclusive place where the crowd is eclectic, friendly and LGBTQI.
