Coffee Collective is certainly one of the best in town. Expresso, long, strong, café crème... There's something for every taste... and you'll love it... and keep coming back! The creaminess of the milk foam is a feast for the eyes, in the great tradition of baristas! The coffees come from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya and Guatemala.

At Joe's, fruit is king! Both fresh and dry, they are prepared differently each time, depending on the month of the year. Is it useful to specify that they are organic? For dessert: Goji brownie or Carrot cake, as fresh fruit juice: Sex me up or Joe's identity or as a shake: avocado or chocolate... In addition, they are good for your health. For each consumption, the caloric index is specified! You'll recognize his black and pink logo: Joe wears a cap and sits at the table. For a quick lunch: there are also sandwiches and bowls

A cosy café to match. Brick walls left untouched, comfortable deep-blue banquettes, a play of mirrors and a superb central counter around which customers sip a glass or a coffee while waiting to sit down to lunch of smørrebrød, beef tartare or truffle pasta. Our smart tip: try their super-healthy brunch or enjoy an aperitif on the lovely terrace. Convivial and friendly, the "Chien Bleu" is (also) a meeting place for board game enthusiasts.

Promenaden has retained the charm of the 1930s. Parquet floors on the floor, wood panelling on the walls and paintings of nudes in the Modigliani style or cabaret scenes in the Toulouse-Lautrec style. The French touch ! A few tables outside along the tree-lined, paved promenade, a billiard table inside, and a suburban atmosphere: small glasses of red wine from the house's own cuvée, sitting at the counter reading the newspaper or chatting with the owner, amidst a somewhat chic clientele. We stop there for a hearty breakfast or a gourmet snack.

At the service in this establishment, an association of irreducible volunteers implanted in the heart of Christiana. "Le Pêcheur de lune" (in French) has taken up residence in an old brick building, a heating centre that once supplied the boatmen's barracks dominated by its high chimney. Young clientele in this beautiful, rather rough place, made of cement, glass and steel. There is a coffee shop (no alcohol is served) which hosts concerts on Thursdays and Fridays. Brunch to be tasted absolutely, copious and of super quality.

Ideally located on the edge of the Christianshavn canal, Oven Vande offers a superb view of the boats in transit. A terrace, the envy of many, lets you enjoy the last rays of sunshine or the pretty garlands of lights after dark. A friendly place, part café, part restaurant, worth a visit both for its location and its cuisine (including a rather hearty brunch). Inside, the decor reflects a passion for French cinema: vintage posters featuring Raimu interpreting Pagnol classics!

This large bar, popular with Danish youth, is often packed. The service is friendly and welcoming. The decor mixes an Art Deco frieze, old photos, floor lamps and large designer pipes. Apparently housed in a former pharmacy, Café Bang & Jensen offers a few simple dishes for lunch and dinner. You can play foosball or listen to rock, pop or folk music while drinking a café latte during the day and beers or wine in the evening, in a noisy, friendly atmosphere.

Welcome to the "French Café". Named as such in the 1970s, this neighbourhood café has no direct links with France! The owners are Danish and offer a 100% Danish menu with Carlsberg, frikadelles, mixed salads and nourishing dishes. A nice place to sit by the water and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Sortedams Sø, in the shade of a tree-lined driveway. If you are just having a drink, don't forget to help yourself at the bar. Still typically Danish!

Between Ørsteds Parken and the lakes near Nansensgade, Bankeråt (translated as "Bankruptcy") is a meeting place for local artists and intellectuals, but also attracts smart tourists! The decor is surprising, with tattooed, naturalized animal heads, dolls' heads as hangers, and plays of light and shadow. Here, you can have lunch (we recommend brunch), sample some traditional dishes or start a Copenhaguois evening... all the more so as the proceeds help finance waterworks in Africa.

Authentic harbor tavern atmosphere at Haralsborg! It's a popular spot for regulars, from eternal barflies to trendy youngsters who come here for a friendly drink. To be precise, beer, a beverage of honor in this latitude and undoubtedly the cheapest in Copenhagen! Some also come to play billiards, surrounded by psychedelic floral wallpaper. The hero and master of the place is a boxing champion. Old beer advertisements on metal plates decorate the room.

Small, gay coffee, very friendly.

A central cafe - and therefore very tourist! - with a large terrace in summer near Strøget. Inside, the frame is embellishment but bright. The staff is not necessarily very helpful, but perhaps it is a permanent move. Good location for breakfast. The addition is a bit too salty.

Café Diamanten is a small diamond nestling on the cobblestones of Gammel Strand, opposite the Thorvaldsen Museum. Apart from the quality of its breakfasts, it boasts a sunny terrace from early morning to late afternoon. On Saturdays in particular, there is a very popular flea market, which is a great place to take a break. You can eat hearty salads and toast (traditional recipes) or sip cocktails... Many people come for the board games.

Here's a hip little cocktail bar with an ultra-friendly atmosphere. The shaker shakes before your very eyes and the glasses wait on a large table! Several Danish and English gins, whiskies and cocktails to serve you. You can mop up the alcohol by nibbling on a few snacks, because be warned, it's going down hard! Death in the afternoon combines lemon, absinthe and champagne, while Mekhong-ki-Tong combines chili, ginger, Mekhong whisky and coriander. You can always try Virgin Mary.... without alcohol!
