Located 32 km north of Târgu Mureș, this city of 30,000 inhabitants is nicknamed the "city of violins". Indeed, it is home to several factories, including the famous Hora and Gliga, which produce over 100,000 instruments every year. Reghin is also a Mecca for luthiers. The town features an attractive wooden church (Sfântul Nicolae) dating from 1748, with period icons. Its evangelical church, built in the 13th century in Romanesque style, was restored and remodeled in the 15th, 18th (adding Gothic touches) and 20th centuries.
