Read moreThe oldest theater in Freiburg opened in 1910 in the middle of the famous Bertoldstraße. It suffered a lot during the Second World War and was restored and rebuilt in 1984. The building houses 4 stages: das Große Haus, das Kleine Haus, die Kämmerbühne and die Werkraum. A true cultural center, thanks in part to its proximity to the University, it is popular for its children's program. This little architectural gem offers hundreds of rare plays, ballets and operas.
KAUFHAUS HISTORISCHES
Read moreThe historic French department store is one of Freiburg's key buildings. It is located south of the famous Münsterplatz (where the Münstermarkt is held). The building is impressive, with its striking red façade, 4 arcades and Gothic-style towers immediately catching the eye. Sculptures of Emperors Maximilian I, Charles V, Ferdinand I and King Philip the Fair can also be seen. Today, its main function is to host various events and exhibitions.
LE WASSERSCHÖSSLE

Like the legendary Bächle, the water flows naturally to the home. Inspired by the seal of 1245, the Wasserschlössle is a feat of engineering. Sip fresh water at the fountain, before enjoying spectacular views from the summit. It's well worth the climb! An experience that transcends traditional fairy tales.
