This island is the southernmost point of Canada. It is only one degree away from Napa Valley and the climate is just as pleasant as in California. As early as the 1860's, vineyards began commercial wine production here, making it one of the oldest in the country. The charm of this island, which has some 200 residents, is also its pace, which can be illustrated by the absence of banks and ATMs. Cyclists will enjoy the 56 km shoreline tour in its rural and romantic atmosphere. The tour of the island leads from the ruins of Canada's first vineyard to the fishing harbour and then on to the marshes.
