Only one road - Highway 60 - crosses the park, in fact only a small section of road to the south. The backcountry can only be explored by canoe, kayak, foot, snowshoe or cross-country ski. A multitude of trails and waterways are available to the intrepid. Isolated ranger cabins have been refurbished and await the more adventurous for the night. Some campgrounds offer minimal comfort, while others offer all the modern amenities to please the "motorized" family. This exceptionally beautiful park, its campgrounds and guided adventures are highly sought after.
