Dorset is located at the junction of Muskoka Region and Haliburton County. This small village has interesting attractions such as the Dorset Lookout Tower, the Dorset Heritage Museum and the Robinson General Store, which has been in the same family since 1921. Sightseeing cruises are also available on the S.S. Bigwin from Dorset, with or without meals (note that some departures are from Dwight, a few miles away). The village is also a four-season outdoor destination due to its proximity to Algonquin Provincial Park and the trail system.
