ALGONQUIN LOGGING MUSEUM
Museum with a bookstore offering a tour with a video on the subject of forestry in the Algonquin region.
The Forestry Museum reveals the history of this industry, from the rendering of logs of yesteryear to modern-day practices. The visit begins with a video on the subject, tracing 175 years of forestry in the Algonquin region (you can also watch the video on the website, it's very informative). Then set off on a 1.5-kilometre interpretive trail (trail and outdoor exhibits open year-round). There's also a bookshop on site, run by the Friends of Algonquin Park.
