Located a few miles upstate in New York, Hemmingford has a bit of an Anglo-Saxon feel to it from its origins: American Loyalists, British, Scots and Irish were its first settlers. Today, the area is well known for its family recreational park, Parc Safari. With over 500 animals of 50 species, it's a great place for kids and adults alike, as is its seasonal water park. Hemmingford is also on the Circuit du Paysan, with many gourmet addresses to visit, including the region's excellent cider houses (Cidrerie du Minot, Vergers écologiques Philion, Verger Hemmingford...).
