This beautiful village of 1,300 inhabitants with a large Bosnian majority is located 7 km southwest of Donji Vakuf by R 481 following the Prušačka River. It is dominated by a huge stone quarry, the ruins of a Ottoman fortress (Prusačka tvrđava) of the late fifteenth century (free access) and has two mosques of the seventeenth century. Prusac is home to the oldest Muslim pilgrimage place in continental Europe.
