Bol and its historic port are also very lively. The hotel complexes are very busy, as are the tourist facilities and cafés-restaurants. The seafront and quayside promenade is pleasant. The Dominican monastery built on the seafront and the excursion to the Desert Blanc hermitage, perched on the cliffs near Bol, are not to be missed. While the tourist office provides a minimal service, incoming agencies (Adria Bol or Bol Tours) offer advice on finding accommodation on the island, car rental (bikes, scooters, boats), airport transfers, cabs and excursions.
