Casa Piriquita, a historic house in Sintra, is a pastry shop (and tea room) located in the street that faces the castle. It is well known to gourmets and is always full. It is here that you can buy queijadas from Sintra, the local pastry shop (made with cottage cheese, sugar and cinnamon, not to mention many fresh eggs per kilo) that everyone enjoys. To avoid long queues at the counter, a more modern (and more common) branch is located at the top of the street, called Piriquita 2.

But what is this about the real queijadas da Sapa? Would other establishments sell fake ones? Unfortunately, despite a careful investigation, we were unable to solve the mystery... To get to the bottom of it, you will have to go to this factory/café to taste the famous queijadas and compare them to the traditional queijadas of Sintra to know which ones deserve the title of true queijadas.

Located next to the famous gourmet restaurant of the same name, this bar and wine cellar offers you the opportunity to taste the various nectars from its selection. Choice: 108 different wines, to drink by the glass with a homemade "petisco" or to take away. The idea is to taste them before buying them and take them home with you.
