Himeville is especially the starting point for the ascent of the Sani pass at 2 874 m. A 3 hours drive up. From the top, you can see the famous Ntabana Ntlenyana, which could be freely translated as "little mountain not very pretty". It is the highest point in Southern Africa. With a normal vehicle, it is possible to drive up to the South African police station 25 km from the Himeville junction. The last eight kilometres can only be driven in a 4WD. The post that guards the crossing is open every day from 8am to 4pm. Please note that, depending on your nationality, you will need a visa to enter Lesotho
