The Sani Pass is perched between the highlands of Lesotho and the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa. It is climbed from Himeville on a vertiginous winding track, open only to 4x4s, but which should be tarred. A memorable journey! Be careful, the border post closes at 6pm, and don't expect to go any further from an early hour. Once at the top, we enjoy the incredible view of South Africa, and we can see the mountains on the Lesotho side with shepherds on horseback in their nice cape and thousands of sheep. The only lodge, Sani Mountain, is located there, next to the border post, clinging to the mountain.
