Located in the heart of Sardinia, this village is the birthplace of Constantino Nivola, a great sculptor of the 20th century. It was Nivola who created the graffiti on the façade of the small late Gothic church of Nostra Signora d'Itria, on the outskirts of the town. Orani also offers evocative panoramic views of Mount Gonare. Its surroundings are explored for its country churches, often located in a dominant position and which can be explored by mountain bike. The sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Gonare receives hundreds of faithful every 8th of September to celebrate a mass and sing traditional songs.
