This lively seaside resort, built after the 1953 earthquake, is 37 km from the capital and 12 from Poros. Here you can see the ruins of the "ancient skala" and the ruins of a Roman villa with beautiful mosaics. Skala's fine sandy beach, lined with pine trees and crystal-clear waters, is astonishingly beautiful. As the largest seaside resort in the southern part of Kefalonia, every summer Skala welcomes crowds of tourists and Greek travellers looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The village also offers excellent views of the Ionian Sea.
