Lechonia is composed of two parts: Ano Lechonia and Kato Lechonia, one at the top, the other at the bottom. The main reason to visit is for swimming. At 2 km from Ano Lechonia is the long beach of Malaki and a cave that can be visited by those who like caving. Kato Gatsea and Kala Nera, 2 and 4 km away respectively, are popular beaches for Greeks in summer. There are tavernas offering squid, octopus and fish of the day. Platanidia also offers, at 1 km, a beautiful beach and a pleasant stopover. Finally, the beach of Kala Nera is even more charming, nestled in the hollow of its bay, and lined with tavernas, cafés, hotels, rooms to rent and small shops.
